How do I join?

Once you have read the Product Disclosure Statement please complete the Member Application Form in the Forms section.

If you are employer sponsored, your employer will also need to complete an Employer Application and New Member List.

If not, and you are applying without an employer sponsor, include a cheque for your first contribution, or a Rollover Form to rollover funds from another institution.

How do I know when my member account has been opened?

Your account details, such as your name, address and member number will be confirmed to you in a welcome letter.

How can I contribute more to my super?

  • Make a one-off contribution, by mailing a cheque with a Member Personal Contribution Form, or BPAY.
  • Make regular contributions, by completing the Direct Debit Request and mail or fax it to us. To stop the Direct Debit payments you will need to advise us in writing.
  • Arranging to have contributions deducted from your pre-tax salary by your employer who will then send the contribution to Child Care Super (this is called salary sacrifice).

How do I withdraw my benefit?

Your superannuation is generally payable on retirement, permanent disablement, death or in other circumstances set out in superannuation law. When you are eligible to access your benefit, it can be paid to you as a lump sum or it may be used to purchase a pension. To withdraw or rollover your benefit you will need to call Member Services on 1800 060 215 8am to 7pm (AEST) Monday to Friday and ask for a Benefit Payment form.

How can I rollover other super accounts?

You can easily transfer your other super accounts into your Child Care Super account by completing the Rollover Form. Once we receive your Transfer Authority form we will contact your previous super fund on your behalf and instruct them to transfer any money into Child Care Super. You will be advised in writing once the benefit has been received.

How do I invest my money?

You can nominate which portfolio(s) you would like your money invested in by selecting them on the application form. You can change this investment choice at any time by completing a Change to Investment Details Form. If you do not select an investment portfolio or if your employer has selected Child Care Super on your behalf, your funds will be invested according to the Trustee's Choice which means your contributions will be automatically invested in a portfolio that matches the risk profile for your age.
